B-THENET is the first platform for European beekeepers. Our goal is to collect good beekeeping practices and innovations and discuss them among beekeepers, advisors, and other stakeholders in languages through our digital platforms.
Each year, we target different beekeeping themes. For Survey Round 3, Record-keeping, Bee feeding and watering, as well as European foulbrood will be in the focus of the project.
Start commenting on and voting for the practices!

New possibility in B-THENET: share your beekeeping videos, images and videos on B-THENET platform.
Would you be interested in sharing some of your beekeeping videos, images or documents on our B-THENET platform? This is entirely optional and simply a suggestion if you’d like to participate, potentially using videos you’ve already created. The goal is to make our platform more interactive while increasing its visibility as well as yours, by showcasing your contributions. It also offers an opportunity to share beekeeping content that goes beyond the Best Beekeeping Practices defined in our project.
This proposition concerns videos, images and documents that would complement—but differ from—the ones being developed by our partner, LOBA, with support from other collaborators. LOBA is producing a “Kit for Beekeepers,” which includes videos and infographics illustrating the Best Beekeeping Practices we are working to establish.
How to proceed for anyone willing to share a video, images, documents that could become available in a new category on the repository platform of B-THENET?
First of all make sure that:
> No people under 18 years old is recognisable in the video;
> No alcohol is visibly consumed;
> All the people who can be recognised in the video are aware and agree with your intent to make it public on the B-THENET platform;
> Add the logo of your affiliated organisation/institution;
> The video is not longer that 10 minutes.
Then please follow the following steps:
1) Simply register to our B-THENET platform and make sure that anyone recognisable on the video, images, documents is registered.
2) Upload your video, images, documents on the dedicated page of the platform and fill out the form including clicking the ticking box that confirms your acceptance of the B-THENET copyright statement and that you accept that the video, images, documents you are uploading will be published online and probably modified by B-THENET coordination team, for example in order to add the logos of B-THENET and the subtitles.
3) Once the proposed videos, images, documents are uploaded to the platform, they are automatically transmitted to the National B-THENET Centers in charge of checking that the text proposed for the subtitles is consistent with the content of the video.
4) The coordination team review the videos and decide to make them available to anyone registered on the B-THENET platform or not and take care of editing it if necessary (such as adding the subtitles and the logo of B-THENET).
Stay tuned on our next steps!
